Thorough checks for your device

The tabs below show in detail the various checks and tests you device will go through for the service. Please, have a look below at the thorough servicing procedure.
  • Funtional check of Output test
  • Functional test of slide-in module and movement
  • Functional test of printing and paper feed
  • Set value 50 with tester and EAP-part and take readings, using 6 different values
  • Texas IC SN 74 – HC 273 installed?
  • DC Off-set adjustment
  • Pre-amplifier set to 100 Hz – 2 kHz – 3.7 kHz – 52 kHz – 100 kHz – 150 kHz and check for correct output
  • Functional test of key panel
  • Correct alignment of push-buttons
  • Functional test of rotary encoder and bandpass cursor
  • Functional check of pager / beeper
  • Check of parameters: amplification – frequency response
  • Check of A and Ai (separately)
  • Functional test of the cable test led, jack and banana plugs
  • Functional test of IR sender connector (charging of sender)
  • Continuity test of all connectors
  • Check display plexiglass and bandpass filter designator for scratches
  • Modify switchboard, if necessary
  • Functional test of all keys; lighting and firm fit of buttons
  • Check send and receive fuction of V24-interface, terminal or MRT
  • CPU box DC-DC converter CPU
  • Check installation of fuses
  • Functional test of the clock
  • Functional check of mains charger’s connector (mains adapter)
  • Functional check of latching mechanism
  • Check battery charge (battery test)
  • Version 1: functional check of switches and LED’s
  • 1 EPROM 18.2.98 installed
  • Capacity test using 12V/55W lamp; potential drop in 30 sec less than 0,5 Volt
  • Visual inspection of cover / casing
  • Functional check of the plug-in connection or locking mechanism
  • Check the frame for paint scratches, glue residue and dents
  • Check casing for paint scratches and blemishes
  • Check all front plates for scratches, damage and dirt
  • Check the screws and orientation of the ‘legs’
  • DMI: large modulation mat + connector or modulation mat
  • If BICOM Multisoft is to be integrated, then the two BNC connectors on the rear of the device need to be exchanged for insulated BNC connectors.
  • Check the switches on the rear of the device, that the position of the switch and sound match EAP / DMI labelling
  • 800 mA fuse (F2 and F3) in DC converter / CPU box
  • Perform a cable test with jack connector
  • DMI: small modulation mat + connector or modulation mat
  • Attenuation = decreasing tone
  • Amplification = increasing tone – both should have the same volume
  • Adjust DMI intensity and test output – run it 3 minutes, there have to be 3 beep tones
  • Check BMF: apply 50 mV at input and adjust generator to 500 Hz; the magnetic field has to be audible through a speaker (connected as replacement mat) independently of the intensity controller
  • Functional test of all buttons, keys and switches, as well as the firm fit of the front nut
  • Check all LED’s whether they flash when activated
  • Check acoustic signal of DMI with a speaker connected (instead of the mat)
  • Functional test of switch
  • Switch on IR and check whether the red LED works
  • Check charging cable
  • Functional check of charging cable
  • Check charging current of sender (270 mA)
  • Functional check of key lock and LED’s
  • Check of adjustment in all modes (test device)
  • Check of signal linearity (0, 50, 100, foot switch, V24)
  • Functional test of sound level potentiometer and speakers
  • Functional test of TP controller, if applicable
  • Pre-resistor installed in ZD
  • Check EAP plexiglass for firm fit and scratches
  • Conductance value in the 3 settings “E”, “A” and “MT”
